Join Gary Argabright for a talk focusing on a group of prehistoric mounds which once dotted the landscape between Paint Street and the Adena mansion which have since been lost to farming and development. This program will be cover: 1) an overview of the extent of Ross County’s prehistoric man-made landscape at the time of the Hopewell peoples
2) a discussion of what happened to the mounds that were once situated in the northwest quadrant of Chillicothe and
3) a progress report of recent attempts to re-establish their now-lost locations.
